Product Focus | iisu 3.0 beta is out!

Since 2003, SoftKinetic's software team has been intimately developing our 3D gesture control middleware SDK & toolkit. Back in early 2010, following great consideration, R&D began re-architecting iisu, in order to allow for the mass adoption of our technology for consumer & professional deployments, as well as cross-platform developer content distribution. We’re nearly there now with full iisu 3.0 release on 9th December 2011.

Features & Improvements Include: Full body skeleton tracking / More productivity tools / Unity3D enabled C# API, and more!

Check out the below video, welcoming you to iisu and SoftKinetic’s development environment, presented gracefully by Mike Nichols, SoftKinetic Studios’ General Manager.

The past quarter has been very exciting for us! We held global exhibitions & demos of our middleware, games and hardware solutions at International Broadcasting Convention (IBC2011, Amsterdam), Intel Developer Forum (IDF2011, San Francisco), and Unity Developer Conference (Unite, San Francisco). Where will you see us next?

At all these events, our international teams met with passionate individuals who have now started exciting gesture control development projects, in both a B2B and B2C capacity, implementing SoftKinetic’s full range of end-to-end solutions currently on offer.

Our hardware team have been working incredibly hard so as to finalize our DepthSense DS311 time-of-flight (ToF) camera production units. If you haven’t had a chance to try out a ToF camera, and are curious to see how it operates for consumer product development and/or B2B deployments – follow our online activity via our News Room, LinkedIn, Facebook & Twitter, for an announcement within the next few weeks!

Last but certainly not least, SoftKinetic is now finalizing plans for the Consumer Electronics Show 2012, held in Las Vegas, USA. We’re proud to be hosting our: “3D Gesture Technology Village” - (Booth 36062 – South Hall 4). Our chosen partners will be announced shortly - we can’t wait to tell you more and meet you there! If you’d like to talk to us regarding CES and setup meetings, please send a note to events@softkinetic.com

Keep tuned for our next quarterly update! SoftKinetic Marketing Team
